Dr. Eric Alao is a prominent advocate for raising awareness about climate change’s impact on Nigeria’s agriculture. With years of experience in agriculture, he has become one of the leading voices in the country on this critical issue. We at Ubuntu farms believe climate change is already significantly impacting agricultural production in Nigeria. The consequences could be catastrophic if we do not address the problem. We argue that rising temperatures, changing rainfall patterns, and more extreme weather events all contribute to a decline in crop yields and a reduction in the quality of agricultural land.

To address this issue, we actively promote sustainable agriculture practices that can help farmers adapt to the changing climate.

Dr. Eric Alao is also a strong advocate for government policies that support sustainable agriculture and helps mitigate the effects of climate change.

Through his work, Dr. Alao is helping raise awareness about the urgent need to address climate change in Nigeria’s agricultural sector and provides valuable guidance and support to farmers and policymakers alike.

He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Lead University Ibadan and has worked in various high-profile positions, including General Manager of Tempo Starch and Glucose Limited and Northern-Nigeria Farms at Obasanjo Holdings Limited. He is also the National Coordinator for Gabasawa Women and Children Empowerment Initiatives, where he has led several humanitarian efforts.

He has a proven track record of fostering economic growth and supporting small and medium-scale Agribusiness. His achievements include designing irrigation and earth dam projects and consulting with the World Bank. Additionally, he is a skilled leader and communicator who establishes and maintains relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
